Unigo Visits Hayam Wuruk Perbanas Invites Cooperation
The State University of Gorontalo (Unigo) visited Hayam Wuruk Perbanas University on Thursday, June 10, 2021. Taking place in Room C401 Jalan Wonorejo Utara 16 Rungkut Surabaya, this activity aims to expand the network of cooperation between the two institutions in order to improve the quality of education.
Deputy Dean II of the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) State University of Gorontalo, Irwan Yantu, S.Pd., M.Sc., said that his party had been making visits to a number of campuses in East Java for the past few days. One of them, Hayam Wuruk Perbanas University has also become the main goal for collaborating in two things, namely student and lecturer exchanges and journal management. "We have conducted student exchanges 10 years ago, one of which is also with campuses in East Java," he said.
He continued, the journal management will be collaborated with the UHW Perbanas journal management so that in the future it can increase the predicate to Sinta 2. In addition, Irwan also wants the cooperation agreement to be carried out up to the study program level. "There is also a head of the Bachelor of Management and Accounting degree program from us and Perbanas," he added.
In addition to the Deputy Dean II of FEB, a number of delegates who participated in the visit from the State University of Gorontalo, including: Head of Quality Assurance FEB Unigo, Sudirman, S.Pd., M.Pd., Head of Accounting Study Program, Dr. Tri Handayani Amaliah, S.E., Ak., M.Sc., CA., Head of Management Study Program, Andi Juana, S.Pd., M.Sc., and BLU Team, Aselmus Leki, S.Kom.
Meanwhile, the Vice Chancellor of the University of Hayam Wuruk Perbanas, Dr. Drs. Emanuel Kristijadi, M.M., welcomed the presence of guests on the campus which has been transformed into a university since April 9, 2021. He also appreciated the invitation related to student exchange from Unigo. The reason is, his party has run student exchanges from the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education in 2016 with private campuses outside Java. “Later on, we need to consider technical matters with the ranks in our economics and business faculties. Including the lecturer exchange that will be planned earlier," said Didik, his familiar greeting to the Unigo delegation.
Dr. Lutfi, S.E., M.Fin., as Deputy Dean I of FEB UHW Perbanas for Academic, Research and Service, added that in principle, lecturer exchanges can be carried out. Of course, they will follow the exchange process in terms of the qualifications needed to mapping their needs. “Current conditions, it is possible to exchange students with online learning. In the future, if conditions allow, offline so that we can understand the local culture," he added.
Then, for journal governance, Lutfi suggested that he could invite the UHW Perbanas lecturer to become one of the Editors in the Journal at FEB Unigo. The reason is that many articles from Hayam Wuruk Perbanas University lecturers have penetrated Scopus so that they can qualify as Journal Editors.
