In accordance with Circular Number 2417/Ed.10000/02/2022 regarding the Regulation of Campus Activities for Even Semesters for the Academic Year 2021-2022 at Hayam Wuruk Perbanas University which was issued on Monday, February 7 2022, the Bachelor of Information Systems study program has now started implementing the system. Hybrid lectures in the fifth week. Hybrid system is a combination of face-to-face classes with distance classes (online) through the use of information technology.

Hybrid classes are implemented to facilitate Information Systems Undergraduate students who want to take part in face-to-face and online learning. Students are given the freedom to choose to participate in the learning process. For now, students who take face-to-face classes are requested to have obtained a letter of permission from their parents/guardians

"Alhamdulillah, I'm glad that finally in the fifth week, we have started the hybrid class. Hopefully, fellow students will be more enthusiastic and comfortable in learning", said Information Systems lecturer, Laqma Dica Fitrani, who happened to be a Hybrid class teacher at that time.

The implementation of the hybrid class at UHW Perbanas is carried out while still complying with health protocols. All members of the community who are active on campus, including students, must access the care to protect application. Class atmosphere is also regulated by maintaining a safe distance. Students and lecturers are also required to wear masks and have been vaccinated while learning in class.

Meanwhile, technology infrastructure to support carrying out Hybrid lectures has been prepared by UHW Perbanas Surabaya prior to the even semester implementation, such as the use of cameras and virtual conference applications. The Student Information System (SIMAS) is used to access schedules and links for online lectures. The Madepkulon Learning Management System (LMS) application (madepkulon.perbanas.ac.id) is also used to support learning, such as giving and collecting assignments, and accessing material delivered by lecturers.

"I hope that this hybrid implementation can be utilized by students as well as possible, for example getting to know each other with students and lecturers, and having direct discussions with lecturers if they have difficulty understanding the material being taught," closed Mrs. Laqma. (hfd)
