Concern for the surrounding environment is needed in order to shape character. Various social activities can be used as an appropriate means of enhancing a sense of humanity. This is a culture that has always been instilled since the beginning for the newest batch of students at STIE Perbanas Surabaya. An activity program called One Week Charity 2021 is managed by the Student Representative Body (BPM) and the Student Executive Board (BEM) together with all student organizations (ormawa) STIE Perbanas Surabaya. With the theme "We Can't help everyone, but Everyone Can Help Someone, the ceremony took place online on Sunday afternoon, April 10, 2021.

The Chief Executive, Thariq Ibrahim said this activity was aimed at showing a sense of humanity and concern for social life. As Indonesian citizens, he and other STIE Perbanas Surabaya students want to stick to the motto of Bhineka Tunggal Ika. In its application, he invites you to increase your gratitude for what you already have. "Hopefully what we have practiced will be useful for all of us," he said.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of STIE Perbanas Surabaya, Dr. Yudi Sutarso, S.E., M.Sc., appreciated the ideas and attitudes of students in building mutual care. According to him, One Week Charity is a positive activity for student activists and event organizers. "As a cadre of leaders in the future, one day we must have a high sense of humanity and we must hone it from the moment you all become students," he impressed.

He continued, these activities are also very useful to sympathize and empathize with all parties in need. He also hopes that this humanitarian activity can continue to be carried out and his enthusiasm continues to be kindled. "Let's always carry out activities like this so that the character of a cadre of leaders with a humanistic attitude will always stick to us," he asked.

For information, Ormawa STIE Perbanas Surabaya collaborates with the Development of Children with Disabilities Foundation (YPAC) and the East Java Rapid Response (ACT). In addition, representatives from each foundation also provided materials related to the humanitarian activities they have been carrying out. Also attending were the Head of YPAC Administration, Bambang Susilo and the East Java Partnership (ACT) Head, Rohadi. (hms)
