STIE Perbanas Surabaya never stops making achievements. This time it came from the lecturer of the Sharia Economics Undergraduate Study Program, Dr. Ika Yunia Fauzia, Lc., MAY. The author of the Arabic Book for Sharia Banking won the 2018 HSBC Indonesia Research Award (HIRA) for the Best Scientific Publication Sector. Located at Hotel Aryaduta Jakarta, his party received a plaque, certificate and award money on Thursday, December 5, 2018.

The event was organized by PT Bank HSBC Indonesia (HSBC Indonesia) and Putera Sampoerna Foundation (PSF) through Sampoerna University (SU). With the theme "Redirecting Banking and Finance for Development", this event aims to increase knowledge of financial literacy and banking education.

Dr. Ika Yunia Fauzia, Lc., MEI., Said the program which has been running for 2 years aims to reward research proposals and scientific publications in finance and banking which aim to provide appreciation and encouragement for lecturers, researchers and postgraduate students in Indonesia to research and publishes empirical findings on emerging issues in several sectors.

"Some of the topics used as references in this award are financial literacy; implications of financial inclusion, intermediation and deepening; financial development, entrepreneurship and economic growth; risk management and implications of banking regulations and legislation and market structure, banking intermediation and stability, "he explained.

The thing that is very unfortunate is that when he received the award, he could not accept it directly. The reason is, he is currently following a short course at the University of California Riverside America. "The award I received was represented by another lecturer, namely Mrs. Elfira," he explained.

Please note, the Best Scientific Publication received by Dr. Ika Yunia Fauzia, Lc., MEI was originally published in the Multiparadigm Accounting Journal with the title "Behavior of Muslim Businessmen and Entrepreneurs in Carrying Out the Principles of Sharia Transactions". In fact, exactly one year ago, Dr. Ika Yunia Fauzia, Lc., MEI has also won the HSBC Indonesian Research Award HIRA 2017 for Best Research Proposal. (Tail)
