On Saturday, January 19, 2019, the Accounting Department Student Association (HMJA) STIE Perbanas Surabaya held an Accounting Paper Competition (APC) 2019. Located at the Auditorium campus 1, this event was attended by young generations at high school and university levels throughout East Java. There are at least 60 teams enthusiastically expressing their ideas to advance the Indonesian economy.

The manager of HMJA STIE Perbanas Surabaya, Rizal Efendi said that in addition to channeling young people's ideas, this event was also to establish cross-university cooperation between students. "This accounting competition also carries a different concept from the previous year. Previously, only from universities, but for this year, the Accounting Paper Competition (APC) was also attended by high school / vocational high school students, "he explained.

He continued, each participant must pass the preliminary round before entering the final round. The filling stage, each team consisting of 3 members sends a paper to STIE Perbanas Surabaya for review. Furthermore, papers that pass the final round must meet the requirements and be in line with the theme "The existence of Big Data Technology is an opportunity and a challenge for the accounting profession".

"Of all the teams that entered, 10 teams were selected from universities and 10 teams from SMA / SMK to enter the final round. "In this final round, they have to present their respective papers," he said.

All participants who pass the final round are competing for 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th place. Please note, for the SMA / SMK category for Winner I receive a trophy and cash of Rp. 600,000. Second Winner gets a trophy and cash amounting to IDR 400,000; Third Winner receives a trophy and cash amounting to Rp. 300,000; and Champion IV gets a trophy and cash of IDR 200,000. Meanwhile, for the tertiary education level, the first winner gets a trophy and cash of Rp. 1,000,000. Second Winner gets a trophy and cash amounting to IDR 700,000; 3rd Winner receives a trophy and cash amounting to Rp. 400,000; and Champion IV gets a trophy and cash of Rp. 300,000.

One of the contestants from the University of Surabaya, Isti Wahyuningsih, admitted that he was interested in the competition. According to him, the competition that was held was very fun and festive.
