2020 Joint Try Out = Champion Mental Form, STIE Perbanas Surabaya Students Are Equipped With Self Management
In order to prepare a strong future generation, students are not only equipped with hard skills. However, they need to develop their soft skills. That is what STIE Perbanas Surabaya has applied to first year students through the 2020 Joint Try Out program. Located at the Wonosalam Training Center (WTC) Jombang, more than 720 first year students seemed enthusiastic about participating in the series of activities. This program is also divided into two groups (character development groups), namely group 1 on Friday-Sunday, 24-26 January 2020 and group 2 on Friday-Sunday, 31 January - 2 February 2020.
Deputy Head of Student Development and Public Relations, Dr. Basuki Rachmat, S.E., M.M., stated that the Joint Try Out event aims to equip students so that they can manage themselves so that they become independent and winning mentality. Starting from this independence, the winning mentality will continue to be honed and formed when competing globally.
He continued, this activity was initiated and realized by the Student Executive Board (BEM) and the Student Representative Body (BPM) along with other members of the Student Organization (Ormawa) STIE Perbanas Surabaya. "They have prepared the concept, we just need to approve and monitor its implementation. The point is that we encourage new students to develop themselves in order to achieve achievements," he said.
All participants have also participated in a series of predetermined activities, starting from Who Am I, Success Proposals, games, to out bonds. In fact, every student is required to have skills, including: Integrity, Assertiveness, Teamwork, Confidence, Leadership, Discipline, Critical Thinking, Creative, Independent, Initiative, and others.
Then the President of BEM, Maf Tuhul Fuad emphasized that this activity would be scheduled every year as a Work Program (Proker) with Ormawa STIE Perbanas Surabaya. "The plan is to hold a Joint Try Out next year, but with different concepts and ideas," said Fuad. (eco / public relations)
