Thursday, August 1, 2019, the International Office of STIE Perbanas Surabaya held a "Workshop on Using Applications and Mechanisms for Admission of Foreign Students". Located in the Seminar Room Campus 1 Jalan Nginden Semolo 34 - 36 Surabaya, this event was attended by the Head, Head of the Study Program and the Head of the Work Unit in the STIE Perbanas Surabaya environment. The speakers were also from the Head of Sub-Directorate of Higher Education Cooperation, Directorate of Higher Education Institutional Development, Purwanto Subroto, Ph.D.

This activity aims to improve STIE Perbanas Surabaya services for foreign student studies in Indonesia. Being a campus with a vision of a global perspective, the indicator of foreign student acceptance is one of the main components in improving the quality of the institution.

Chairman of STIE Perbanas Surabaya, Dr. Yudi Sutarso S.E., M.Sc., said that his party had prepared steps to achieve the vision of the campus he currently leads with aspirations of being leading, superior and having a global perspective. Therefore, STIE Perbanas always wants to be ahead, of the highest quality and have broad insight. "The realization of the achievement of our global vision, namely the acceptance of new students from abroad. This year, STIE Perbanas Surabaya has accepted one overseas student from Timor Leste, ”he explained.

The first session of the material took place, Purwanto Subroto, Ph.D., conveyed about optimizing the benefits of cooperation to improve the quality of higher education. He said that the acceptance of foreign students at STIE Perbanas Surabaya, such as several forms of cooperation programs and student mobility, then the role of the International Relations Office in universities. He also conveyed the strategy of bringing in foreign students by building an international reputation, branding, staff and student exchanges and so on. Continued by the second session, his party explained technically the study permit service for foreign students and the permit service for foreign experts.

During the discussion, Dr. Basuki Rachmat, S.E., M.M., said that in the realm of student affairs, which he is in now, requires international cooperation. His party has planned and designed a future student organization program (Ormawa) by being mobilized abroad as well as comparative studies of universities abroad. "STIE Perbanas Surabaya also wishes to cooperate with other forms of student activities at the Asian level so that not only academically, but also student development is needed," he explained.

This workshop is very beneficial for STIE Perbanas Surabaya in dealing with foreign student admissions technically and also the strategy that STIE Perbanas Surabaya has to do in bringing in foreign students and in the future it is hoped that STIE Perbanas Surabaya can accept more foreign students.
