Given the importance of knowledge about leadership (leadership), the Master of Management Study Program (Prodi) STIE Perbanas Surabaya held a guest lecture with the theme, New Approach in Leadership, on Wednesday (13/4). Taking place at Auditorium Hall A, this guest lecture presented a speaker from Malaysia, namely Yeoh Hooi Seng. He is a professional leader with a wealth of experience, including: Member of Board of Directors, Penang Public Library Corporation, Executive Committee Member and Founder / Executive Director-WyteHouse Education Group Sdn Bhd. In addition, also present were the Head of the MM STIE Perbanas Surabaya Study Program, Prof. Dr. Tatik Suryani, MM., And also as a translator for the guest lecture.

On that occasion, Yeoh Hooi Seng explained that leadership is not to be learned, but to be practiced and it is very important. "Leadership is a skill that must be practiced every day," he explained. Moving on to the lecture submission, Yeoh Hooi Seng also explained about goals versus growth and the secrets of leadership. "Growth is an important and powerful thing in companies around the world," he added.

Besides presenting material on good leadership, Yeoh Hooi Seng also presented the history of well-known companies in the world. He explained about how this CEO runs his company to become one of the biggest companies in the world. The company that YeohHooi Seng is referring to is the Apple company. "Apple CEO Steve Jobs pioneered the company from the first Apple products to the latest," he explained.

The next material, Yeoh Hooi Seng explained about The Power of Corporate Culture which is very important for companies to survive for a long time. Then, another sub-material is The Power Of Failure, which relates to how a failure is a valuable lesson. According to YeohHooi Seng, a person who learns to walk will definitely fall and failure is also a process in achieving success and delivering to the next level.
