Students certainly have to play a role in increasing the economic growth of the Indonesian nation through their ideas and aspirations. This is necessary considering that government policies need evaluation so that the established programs can be felt by the community in the regions. One of them is the existence of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (UMKM) which need government assistance in running their business. The case was discussed at the event, the National Management Symposium Indonesia, on Wednesday (9/11). Taking place at the Auditorium of STIE Perbanas Surabaya, this event was attended by the Indonesian Management Student Association (HMMI). They also come from various regions in Indonesia, including: Makassar, Palu, Bandung, Surabaya, Bali, East Nusa Tenggara, and others.

Chairman of STIE Perbanas Surabaya, Dr. Lutfi, SE., M.Fin, said that the condition of economic growth is not very good because it is still around 5%. However, we need awareness to increase economic growth to reach 6%. "On this good opportunity, let us contribute to providing various input on policy solutions for the government so that in the future the quality of our students will be even better," he said in his speech.

In line with the theme carried, namely the Economic Spirit of the Young Generation to Save the Indonesian Economy, the speakers presented at this event were young people who have contributed to the economic growth of the Indonesian nation. First, a President Commissioner / Founder of Hasanah Mulia Group PT. Hasanah Mulia Investama, Abdul Rahman Hidayat. Second, Owner Al-Warits Batik Aromatherapy from PT. This alumni of STIE Perbanas Surabaya explained that young entrepreneurs need to have a strategy in building a business so that success in entrepreneurship will be realized.

Meanwhile, the moderator gave a case about the role of MSMEs in building the Indonesian economy. Of the hundreds of students who attended the symposium, various aspirations containing solutions, suggestions, criticism and responses flooded the discussion session. The opinions conveyed by each representative from different campuses made them aware of differences of opinion in each region which they felt, especially in terms of the government's contribution in supporting the country's economy, especially towards MSMEs. Seeing the enthusiasm that was held in the National Work Program of the Management Student Association of STIE Perbanas Surabaya, it shows that there is awareness and attention from the current young generation regarding their contribution to economic growth in Indonesia.

Secretary General of the Indonesian Management Student Association (HMMI), Damri thanked STIE Perbanas.
