UHW Perbanas Lecturers Provide Risk Management Training for BPR Surasari Hutama

The Center for Applied Business and Management (CABM) at Universitas Hayam Wuruk Perbanas organized a Risk Management Implementation Training for the People's Credit Bank (BPR). Held at Swiss-Bellin Manyar Surabaya, the event was attended by executives and banking staff from BPR Surasari Hutama. The participants received materials from the speakers, Prof. Dr. Lutfi, S.E., M.Fin., and Dr. Anggraeni, S.E., M.Si.
Dr. Anggraeni, S.E., M.Si., Head of CABM UHW Perbanas, stated that the training was made possible through a cooperation agreement between both parties. The implementation of risk management for BPR, based on the Financial Services Authority (OJK) Regulation Number 13/PJOK.03.2015 and OJK Circular Letter Number 1/PJOK.03/2019, is crucial and must be jointly understood.
"Through this training, we hope that the officials of BPR Surasari Hutama will have a better understanding of and be able to implement risk management in accordance with regulations from the Financial Services Authority," she said after the training on Saturday (July 12).
Diah Ariestiana, Compliance Director of BPR Surasari Hutama, said the training was highly beneficial for the bank. Based on the material presented by the speakers, she emphasized that regulations related to risk management are very important.
"From this training, we were able to share insights with highly experienced trainers in their field. We also received valuable feedback and were given case studies on various types of risks, especially the six types of credit risk that significantly affect BPRs," Diah explained.
Meanwhile, Joko Wahyu Mujiono expressed that the training was very enjoyable, despite the density of the material, as it was delivered in a way that was easy to understand.
"The materials provided are very useful for BPR Surasari Hutama, as they are highly relevant to our operations in terms of risk management," explained the Head of BPR Surasari Hutama, Sukorejo Branch.
Similar impressions were shared by Max Christian Suryadi, Head of the Sidoarjo Branch of BPR Surasari Hutama. He emphasized the need for BPR officials to understand risk management.
"We must learn how to implement it properly, as we, as a people's credit bank, manage public funds. The risk is high, so we need to learn in detail and in depth how to handle those risks to avoid fraud or other irregularities that could lead to losses," he concluded. (eko/pr)
