The Christian Spiritual Activity Unit (UKM) of Universitas Hayam Wuruk Perbanas once again held its annual event titled Christian Singing Contest 2025. This activity serves as a platform for young Christians from various regions in Indonesia to explore and develop their vocal talents, while also strengthening bonds of brotherhood and faith among participants.

Ningsi Butar-Butar, Manager of the Christian Spiritual UKM at UHW Perbanas, stated that the event received a warm welcome from participants and the Christian community across Indonesia. A total of 39 participants took part in this year's competition.

"The purpose of this competition is to uncover and nurture the vocal talents of young Christians, while also fostering brotherhood and faith among the participants. In addition, we also aim to introduce Universitas Hayam Wuruk Perbanas to the wider public," explained Ningsi when contacted on Saturday (June 21).

She elaborated that the competition began with the registration phase, followed by a technical meeting to discuss the requirements and rules of the contest. "We provided information on what requirements participants needed to fulfill. After that, there was a submission period for their performance videos," she detailed.

Ningsi expressed hope that the Christian Singing Contest 2025 would serve as a means of spiritual growth and ministry expression for Christian youth. She emphasized that through singing, young people can grow in confidence in serving God, strengthen relationships with others, and find inspiration to continue creating and excelling in the field of spiritual arts.

"We hope this event can glorify God and be a blessing to many people," she added.

For the record, the winners of the Christian Singing Contest 2025 at UHW Perbanas are as follows: First Place was awarded to Helena Yeni, Second Place went to Carolina Elizabeth, and Third Place was received by Chirstianty Natalia Siahaan. (eko/pr)
