The Surabaya City Government, through the Department of Industry and Manpower (Disperinaker), has collaborated with Hayam Wuruk Perbanas University to organize the "Job Fair & Edu Fair 2025." This event took place over two days, from May 20 to 21, 2025, at the Surabaya Convention Hall, successfully attracting nearly 1,000 job seekers from the region.

Tranggono Wahyu Wibowo, Head of the Training and Placement Division at Disperinaker, explained that the primary aim of this event is to reduce unemployment and support underprivileged families in Surabaya. At the job fair, there are 732 job vacancies offered by 54 companies, with 49 companies providing job opportunities domestically, particularly in Surabaya, while 5 companies are offering positions abroad.

This job fair not only facilitates interactions between job seekers and employers but also provides essential training. On the first day, a workshop on soft skills for interview preparation was conducted by Dr. Shinta Setia, S.Psi., M.Com, a lecturer in the Management Study Program at Hayam Wuruk Perbanas University. Additionally, a workshop on crafting appealing job application letters was held by Nucholis Setiawan, S.Psi., M.Psi, also a lecturer in Management.

On the second day, the morning session featured a workshop titled 'Job Search Digital,' which taught effective job searching techniques through digital platforms, led by Hariadi Yutanto, S.Kom., M.Kom, a lecturer in the Informatics Study Program.

The selection process for job seekers will continue on May 22-23, 2025. This job fair is open to the public from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM WIB. With easy access and a wide range of available vacancies, it is hoped that this event will serve as a bridge for the people of Surabaya to achieve their dream jobs and improve their family welfare.
