A total of one cow and three goats were sacrificed, donated by congregants and members of the university community. The slaughtering and packaging of the sacrificial meat were carried out by the mosque's management, assisted by campus staff and students from the Islamic Religious Activity Unit (UKKI).
Chairman of the Masjid Al Haliim management board, Heri Supriyanto, S.Kom., M.Kom., stated that hundreds of meat packages were distributed to residents living near the Wonorejo and Nginden Semolo campuses. This act reflects the mosque’s social commitment and intention to share happiness on this blessed day.
"Through this distribution of sacrificial meat, we hope to share sustenance and joy with the communities surrounding the campus. May this endeavor bring blessings from Allah SWT," he explained.
He also expressed sincere appreciation and gratitude to the donors who entrusted their sacrificial animals to Masjid Al Haliim. "We are truly grateful for the trust placed in us and hope that similar initiatives will continue and grow in the coming years," Heri concluded.
Beyond its religious significance, this sacrificial event is expected to foster solidarity and instill social awareness among students and academic members. The presence of UHW Perbanas as an educational institution continues to contribute meaningfully to the surrounding community. (eko/pr)
