The event was attended by the entire academic community of UHW Perbanas, including members of the foundation board, university leadership, faculty, administrative staff, retirees, and institutional partners. In his opening remarks, UHW Perbanas Rector, Dr. Yudi Sutarso, S.E., M.Si., encouraged all members of the university to view the Eid al-Fitr celebration as a new beginning for strengthening professional relationships and igniting a spirit of meaningful contribution.
“Silaturahmi (the act of maintaining good relationships) is not merely a tradition, but a spiritual and social force that brings blessings into our lives. From it emerges a sense of unity and a drive to contribute positively,” he stated.

“If one seeks a long life filled with blessings, then one must actively engage in silaturahmi,” he conveyed.
He further elaborated that the holy month of Ramadan is a time for believers to deepen their relationship with Allah SWT through acts of worship. Post-Ramadan, however, believers are encouraged to strengthen their relationships with fellow human beings through handshakes, mutual forgiveness, and sincere connection.
“Livelihood can be expanded when fraternal bonds are reinforced. Smartphones are merely tools of communication; true silaturahmi involves physical presence and the softening of hearts. We ask for forgiveness, we forgive others, and most importantly, we let go of past grievances,” he affirmed.
The event concluded with a joint prayer followed by a session of handshakes and informal fellowship among the academic community. This moment served as a tangible symbol that UHW Perbanas is committed not only to academic excellence but also to fostering a campus culture rooted in warmth, compassion, and human values. (eko/pr)
