Huriah, Dean of the Academy of Macroeconomics, Monetary & Market at BI Institute, stated that this public lecture is a regular event organized by the institution to expand partnerships with universities across Indonesia.
"This time, we had the opportunity to be present, and Universitas Hayam Wuruk Perbanas served as the host for this event, which involved multiple universities," she explained after delivering the lecture on Friday (February 28).
Beyond fostering partnerships, the event aimed to enhance literacy on central banking and provide updates on the role of the central bank in Indonesia.
"We hope that through literacy efforts and policy updates, we can strengthen students' and lecturers' competencies and knowledge about central banking. This includes understanding the roles and responsibilities of the central bank, both before and after the enactment of the Financial Sector Development and Strengthening Law (P2SK), as well as the latest policies from Bank Indonesia in 2025," she concluded.

During the lecture, participants received a detailed overview of the roles and duties of Bank Indonesia based on Law No. 4 of 2023 on Financial Sector Development and Strengthening (P2SK). Additionally, the event served as a platform to promote Research Grant (Banlit) opportunities for undergraduate, master's, and doctoral students from the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) at universities that have established cooperation agreements with Bank Indonesia Institute.
Meanwhile, the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business at UHW Perbanas, Prof. Dr. Lutfi, S.E., M.Fin., expressed his gratitude and honor for being entrusted as the host university for this event. He also encouraged students and faculty members to take advantage of the BI Institute’s Research Grant program. (eko/pr)
