A number of lecturers from the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) of Hayam Wuruk Perbanas University participated in an Entrepreneurship Learning Development Workshop. Held in Room C401 of the Wonorejo Campus, the event, supported by the Free Campus Competition Program (PK-KM) grant in 2023, featured the presence of business practitioner CEO of Okantara Group, M. Oskar, S.E., M.H.

The Chair of the Sharia Economics Bachelor's Program, Dr. Ika Yunia Fauzia, Lc., MA., stated that the purpose of this activity is to broaden the insights of lecturers at UHW Perbanas regarding entrepreneurship learning applied by business practitioners. The presented topics included: Successful strategies in the entrepreneurship world, effective business planning, Innovation in business development, and case studies from the experiences of the speakers.

According to M. Oskar, S.E., M.H., business activities require expertise in recognizing products, determining production timing and processes, organizing financial management to market them in a business activity, and managing operational business capital.

Meanwhile, the Vice Dean of FEB UHW Perbanas, Dr. Luciana Spica Almilia, S.E., M.Si., hoped that the materials presented by the speakers could serve as a foundation in the development of entrepreneurship curriculum and learning by lecturers. So far, students need to be equipped with entrepreneurship materials so that upon graduation, they are not just seeking jobs but creating job opportunities.

"We are very proud and grateful to Mr. Oskar for taking the time and sharing his entrepreneurial experience. This is an extraordinary opportunity obtained from practitioners so that we can develop in entrepreneurship learning materials," she said after the workshop, on Tuesday (17/10).

As mentioned by the speaker, someone's familiarity with entrepreneurship may come from their family legacy. However, creating an environment that fosters entrepreneurship can encourage UHW Perbanas graduates to become skilled and competitive entrepreneurs. (PR)
