Quality Assurance Center

Quality Assurance is the process of establishing and consistently fulfilling quality management standards for higher education institutions, ensuring stakeholder satisfaction. This quality assurance aims to cultivate a culture of quality, starting from setting standards, implementing standards, evaluating the implementation of standards, and striving to improve standards (Continuous Quality Improvement).

Quality Assurance at Hayam Wuruk Perbanas University is managed through the Quality Assurance Center (QAC), which oversees and ensures the implementation of the quality assurance system.

The duties and responsibilities of the Quality Assurance Center at Hayam Wuruk Perbanas University are as follows:
a. Designing and developing a quality assurance system model to be applied across all university work units;
b. Ensuring and supervising the implementation of the quality assurance system in all units within the university;
c. Creating the necessary tools for the implementation of the quality assurance system;
d. Conducting internal monitoring and evaluation of university programs and performing internal quality audits; and
e. Reporting regularly on the implementation of the quality assurance system to the President.

Based on Law Number 12 of 2012 on Higher Education (UU Dikti) and supported by the Minister of Research, Technology, and Higher Education Regulation No. 62 of 2016, the integration of Quality Assurance into a system called the Higher Education Quality Assurance System (SPM-PT) is confirmed. This system comprises the Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI), External Quality Assurance System (SPME), and Higher Education Database. Therefore, the Quality Assurance Center at STIE Perbanas conducts Internal Audits (SPMI) twice a year and External Audits once a year through ISO 9001:2008 with IWA 2.

Hayam Wuruk Perbanas University began implementing the Higher Education Quality Assurance System in 2005. After a one-year preparation period, ISO 9001:2000 quality management system certification was obtained on January 12, 2006, through the certification body WQA (Worldwide Quality Assurance). Recertification is conducted every three years and has been successfully maintained. In 2009, ISO 9001:2008 certification was maintained through the certification body URS (United Registrar of Systems), then in 2012 by the certification body BSI (British Standard Institution), and in 2015, it was successfully maintained through the certification body SGS Indonesia (Société Générale de Surveillance- Indonesia) based on IWA2.

Hayam Wuruk Perbanas University is currently institutionally accredited with an A rating. Likewise, four programs are accredited with an A rating: the Bachelor's Programs in Management and Accounting, the Diploma III in Finance and Banking, and Accounting. The Master's Program in Management and the Bachelor's Program in Islamic Economics are accredited with an Excellent rating.

The quality standards of Hayam Wuruk Perbanas University have been implemented since 2007 and are continually adjusted to the developments in higher education and updates to higher education regulations. In 2016, quality standards were adjusted in reference to Law No. 12 of 2012 on Higher Education, particularly the Minister of Research, Technology, and Higher Education Regulation No. 44 of 2015 on National Standards for Higher Education, the standards of the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT), and the Minister of Research, Technology, and Higher Education Regulation No. 62 of 2016. Additionally, internal standards are added according to internal needs and the vision carried out.
