UHW Perbanas Graduation 2025 (Even Semester), Marked by Historic Moments
Universitas Hayam Wuruk (UHW) Perbanas held its 2025 Graduation Ceremony for graduates of the Even Semester of the 2024/2025 academic year. Taking place at Dyandra Convention Center Surabaya, a total of 132 graduates were officially conferred their degrees in a smooth and successful ceremony. This was conveyed by the Rector of Universitas Hayam Wuruk Perbanas, Dr. Yudi Sutarso, S.E., M.Si., when confirmed on Saturday (13/12).
He stated that there were two historic moments during the graduation ceremony. First, UHW Perbanas graduated its first cohort of graduates from the Bachelor of Visual Communication Design Study Program. Second, for the first time, the university also conferred degrees upon graduates of the Master of Management Program through the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) pathway.
“These graduates are professionals who wish to continue their studies. Their professional experience in the workplace can be recognized as learning achievements. They do not need to take certain courses if they already have relevant experience; therefore, it is recognized through the RPL system,” explained Yudi Sutarso.
He further emphasized that UHW Perbanas actively contributes to the campus impact program for society, based on the principle of becoming a university that provides the greatest benefit. The output of the university is graduates and knowledge that are useful to society.
Amid rapid technological developments, Yudi Sutarso stressed that adaptability skills must continue to be sharpened, supported by a positive mindset and attitude toward change. “These adaptive skills have also been instilled in our graduates. With the skills and soft skills they possess, they are able to adapt,” he affirmed.
It is worth noting that the best graduates of the Even Semester 2024–2025 graduation period at UHW Perbanas were awarded to four individuals based on their academic distinction and level of study. From the Faculty of Economics and Business, the best graduate was Farda Rihasta, A.Md., Bns. (Diploma III in Banking and Finance), while two best graduates came from the Master of Management Program, namely Yohana Agutina, S.E., M.H., M.M. and Nyimas Nunin Anisah Baidury, S.P., M.M. Meanwhile, from the Faculty of Engineering and Design, the best graduate was Athallah Anindya Kirana, S.Ds. (Bachelor of Visual Communication Design).
